use a color rinse for highlights????????
i am wanting peek a boo highlights. I am told that the use of demi-, semi-, or permanent hair color can be damaging to hair if not taken care of. Buy Generic pharmacy I was told that color rinses could be used for highlights. just use the foil or the highlight cap and apply the color rinse. let the rinse sit for the alloted amount of time and rinse out. then apply the leave-in conditioners and style as usual.
for the maintenance, do my regular regimen: pre-poo with protein conditioner with heat under a hooded dryer for 20 min. ||| shampoo with creme of nature dangling shampoo or in my case once i get the highlights, a shampoo for color treated hair ||| towel dry ||| deep condition with a moisturizing conditioner for 20 min. under a heated dryer||| rinse ||| apply leave-in conditioners ||| style as usual.
will this work?
serious answers please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Im not sure.. Sorry.
Highlights usually mean having lighter sections of hair.
In your case, if you want peak-a-boo highlights that are lighter than your natural color and will show up, only bleach or a permanent hair color with a high developing volume like 30 or 40 would work.
But bleach is the best way to go.
Color rinse can be put over top of the bleached highlights to make them the exact color that you want (since bleach alone tends to leave a yellowy orange color.)
If you just put color rinse on your hair without stripping your natural color out first, your results will be your natural color enhanced with a different tone.
Anyway – any chemical service is damaging, but if you take care of your hair after-wards, it won’t be that big of a deal.
of course you don't have to . . . i use the blow dryer trick and when thats done i just sit there and wait for it to settle in even more . . . .and if you want to go and buy something. .. buy the heated rollers they are extemly good and take less time!!
I hate the Yankees and don't really care for the Red Sox but I finally get to watch a real baseball game. No more classics and highlights!
