I never put hot water directly on my hair nor do I use heating tools such as flat irons or blow dryers. However, I often take hot showers (alternating between hot, warm and cold), and sometimes wonder if the "steam hair dryers could be damaging my hair. I always tilt my head away from the hot water and only wet/wash my hair with lukewarm to cool water. In fact, I always end my showers with a cool rinse all over.
What damage could I be doing to my hair and can wearing a shower cap prevent any further damage?
Reply:
no in fact steam from your shower/bath is good for the hair if you have a conditioning treatment on. the steam hair dryers opens the cuticles allow better penetration of the treatment. the cool rinse will close the cuticles again leaving online prescriptions NO lasting damage to your hair.

My mom had really thin hair, and started using Paul mitchell products and after 3 or 4 months her hair looks thicker and its shiny and looks healthy
