Yes, but people trash them all the time. Only the expensive places can afford to keep them up and replace them often. Refrigerators may not be much money but they do use a lot of energy too. I just wish the cheaper hotels would wash their comforters every time someone checks out and buy some decent sheets and pillows. Gross!
