Is it ideal to use a bonet hood dryer for reconditioning hair ?

Hi, I applied some warm olive oil on my scalp and used the bonnet hood dryer on hot setting for 7-8 minutes just once so far for reconditioning hair. Do you think it is ideal and would really help to use the bonnet hood dryer ? I have started having hair fall soon after it but I am not sure if that is the reason or something else. Thanks
