Is it necessary to go under a stand up hair dryer for the highlights to develop? Or will the hlights develop to the same shade without heat?
Thank you!

Other than towel drying it, there aren't a lot of options that don't include some sort of styling tool.
You can try using a wet 2 dry flat iron. They have holes in the plates to allow the steam to escape. Le Angelique makes one that is less expensive than most.
This way you are drying and styling at the same time. This might save you some time.
Headrush, postural hypotension or orthostatic hypotension are terms attached to the symptoms you mention. It results from a sudden drop in blood pressure when you change positions. As you describe, it lasts for just a few seconds as the body adjusts automatically. Anemia, dehydration, and certain medications can cause this, as can hardening of the arteries.
Have an experienced person take your blood pressure after you have been lying flat for five minutes, then rapidly as you stand up.
If you are young and thin it may be normal. If you are older and hypertensive, I suggest a visit to your doctor for a check up.
