Laila Asked:

I'm trying to convert an electric hair dryer to a battery operated hair dryers by connecting the wires of the hair dryer to 11 9-volt batteries. Will that work or do I still have to do something else? Please help... Thanks...

By the way, I'm just after the fan, not the heat...
Thanks...

You really can't convert an existing electric hair dryer to a battery operated hair dryers without using a large inverter and a large auto battery.

I've never seen a portable hair-dryer.

The problem is that they use about 1200 watts, and with a 12 volt battery, that is 100 amps. Even a large auto battery will last only 30-45 minutes at that rate.

9 volt batteries will last for seconds.
